The return of TINA
There is a worrying trend with this coalition and that is the return of something we’ve not seen since the 1980s. The return of TINA.
TINA stands for “There Is No Alternative” and is being used instead of rational argument to justify whatever misery David Cameron wants to deal out next – all in the name of fighting the debt crisis.
No matter what the objections are, TINA is revoked as if that is enough.
I thought TINA had been banished to history with Thatcher but sadly she is back.
