Cutting the debt experts!
Cameron and co have sunk to the lowest of depths today with the idiotic decision to cut thousands of debt experts – just before they plunge us all into debt!
These experts work through the Citizen’s Advice Bureau but have been told they are all being made redundant and should not take on any new clients – as in help anyone new.
This decision is mind-numbingly stupid and provides furthe proof that the real deficit is between Cameron’s ears. This will push people into the hands of those shoret term loan companies such as wonga.com that charge eye-watering interest rates of over 2000%apr. You usually can’t get such a return without a gun.
Anyone who now needs debt advice has to pay for it! Clueless Cameron at his worst.
The cynical amongst us may wonder who owns these fee-charging debt aid companies and the loan sharks and how much they donated to the Tory party.
Everyone else should wonder – where is Nick Clegg and the Lib Dems – did they agree with this?

VAT hike to 20%
Another promise was left broken when VAT was increased to 20%. During the election the Tories denied that they had any plans to raise VAT. Fair enough, we didn’t believe them anyway. What is staggering is the warning about the evil Tories and their VAT plans came from Clegg.
Clegg warned Britain about this. Clegg would oppose this. Clegg lied. Clegg voted for it.

Just when did the “balance of power” became “yes Dave?”
Do you remember when people like of David Steele and Paddy Ashdown talked about the dream situation where an election would deliver a hung parliament? That was the moment that every supporter has voted Liberal, Liberal Democrat or SDP to achieve. That was the moment when every activist dreamed of on those cold and dark nights spent stuffing leaflets through door in support for candidates that had little or no chance of winning.
That was when the liberal leader of the day would enjoy their moment and make key demands for critical support – first on the agenda would be proportionate representation or fair votes and the democracy of Britain would change for ever.
That moment came in 2010 – and was utterly wasted.
The “balance of power” shrivelled away and the worst negotiating team in history agreed to an appalling tory plan with a few shreds of comfort.
History does not easily forgive those that waste such opportunities.

Clegg doesn’t get it
Nick Clegg doesn’t get it. He just doesn’t understand. During the election he and his colleagues happily signed written pledges to “oppose any increase in student fees”. That couldn’t be clearer. He and his entire party are opposed to tuition fee increases.
He and his party then voted to treble tuition fees – and he wonders why students are angry.
Then he and his followers have the cheek to peddle the tory lie. “It’s e better deal”. Only a tory could claim trebling fees is a better deal.
The point that Cleggers and co utterly fail to get is this. After the shameful expenses scandal where he and others basically stole from us the tax payers the credibility of parliament was on the line. We knew they were sleazy cheats but a written pledge was more than a promise or ambition – that we haven’t believed in years.
Now they have broken solemnly written and signed pledges – they have nowhere left to go. No-one will ever believe a word they say again.
Not even Gordon brown would “agree with Nick” now!
